Lobster … Lobster … Lobster

Plucked out of the sea cages to-order, this restaurant only serves one size – GIGANTIC, and it’s the only thing you need to order here. Okay… maybe the crayfish as well, but if it’s your first time, the Lobster is it!

This little gem is located on the tiny sand island of Scilly Cay just inside Island Harbour, in the northeastern tip of Anguilla. Open only on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, — a favorite recommend to visitors.

It’s a family affair at Scilly Cay Restaurant. The Wallaces and their two sons personally take care of the water ferry, hosting, and the activities behind the bar and in the kitchen. And what a host is Eudoxie Wallace! If he takes a shine to you, several more rum punches may find their way onto your table than ordered.

  • This is a very low-key establishment. “Stand at the end of the pier and wave like an idiot” are instructions received from a voice in the rental shack on-shore. If you don’t call ahead, this is exactly what you’ll most likely have to do and hope to catch the 300-foot boat ride from the pier to this blip-sized island at no charge.
  • Charters (land and sea) are available, and your hotel may provide boat trips and excursions, that will most definitely include this as one of their stops.
  • During high season, there’s live entertainment advertised for every Wednesday (romantic serenading) and Reggae on Sundays. We recommend you call ahead to confirm.
  • Only lunch is served and private party arrangements can be made.

Open from: 11:00 am – 5:00pm , Wednesdays, Fridays + Sundays
